Our first collaboration with "rig", a recovery sandal brand from Japan.
Based on the concept of "seamlessly connecting activity and town use," recovery sandals developed for athlete fatigue recovery have been rearranged into a design suitable for urban wear.

The base model is the "kuvaa", characterized by its three straps. The three straps on the instep and the hook-and-loop fastener on the back strap at the heel can be adjusted to fit any foot type. The back strap is removable, allowing it to be used as a slide sandal.
The MMA version features an upper made of synthetic leather enamel. The lining is a soft, suede-like microfiber. The MMA name is embossed on the back strap, and the MMA logo is embossed on the insole. Both the upper and sole are uniformly black, creating a modern and luxurious finish that changes the image of recovery sandals.
Step out into the city in recovery sandals. A unique sandal, fusing MMA's concept with rig's technology, is born.

"rig" was established in 2019 as a recovery sandal brand from Japan, after approximately four years of development and research into the foot characteristics of Westerners and Japanese people. It adopts a footbed based on Japanese foot characteristics, designed to be the most comfortable for Japanese people.
"rig" recovery sandals have high shock absorption, relieving stress on the feet and lower back and promoting fatigue recovery. Especially after standing work or exercise, they relax the feet as much as possible to prevent fatigue from lingering until the next day. Furthermore, compared to hard sandals, the burden on the feet and lower back is reduced, making them suitable for daily wear for those with back pain or herniated discs.
With the concept of "reducing the burden and stress on athletes," rig supports various athletes in trail running, MTB, road biking, triathlon, and more. They reflect feedback from supported athletes and pursue research and development of materials and technological innovation.
As Japan's first recovery sandal brand, rig is gaining attention for its reliable technology and sophisticated design, transcending the categories of fashion and activity.

❶ A BAMBOO FOOT ARCH
The arch of the foot is strongly supported, providing an effect similar to bamboo treading. It supports a fallen arch due to fatigue and improves blood circulation.
❷ MAXIMUM CUSHION EVA
The soft and cushioned footbed absorbs more shock than regular sandals, reducing the burden on the feet and lower back. Uses EVA with antibacterial and deodorizing effects.
❸ FULL COMPRESSION EVA
A thick, full-compression EVA is used in the midsole to enhance cushioning. The bucket seat shape suppresses the wobbling often found in recovery sandals, achieving stable walking.
❹ TOE HOOK SYSTEM
By expanding the area around the base of the toes, smooth walking is possible without unnecessary effort from the toes.
❺ LIGHT RUBBER SOLE
To reduce weight, high-grip recycled lightweight rubber is used only on areas with frequent ground contact.
